Power Machines has completed the supply of hydropower equipment to the Ust-Srednekanskaya HPP

Power Machines has completed the supply of the water turbine distributor — the last piece of equipment set manufactured by the St. Petersburg power machine producer for hydropower unit No. 3 of the Ust-Srednekanskaya HPP, which is currently under construction.

The installation of embedded parts on hydropower unit No. 3, executed under the guidance of Power Machines experts, was completed at the plant in September 2016. At present, the hydropower engineering team is performing concreting work and building a machine hall, on the completion of which Power Machines will go on to install the supplied equipment. The commissioning of the hydropower unit is scheduled for 2018.

The contract for the manufacture and supply of a 142.5 MW hydro turbine, a generator coming with an excitation system, and a hydro unit automatic control system (ACS) to the Ust-Srednekanskaya HPP was signed between Power Machines and RusHydro in 2014.

Power Machines – Toshiba. High-Voltage Transformers, a joint venture and part of Power Machines Group of Companies, which supplied a power transformer with  the voltage of 220 kV and the capacity of 220 MWA to the HPP in December 2016, is also involved in the construction of the new hydropower unit. The beginning of its installation is scheduled for the third quarter of this year.
