The Kaluga Turbine Plant, a member of the Power Machines power engineering company, has manufactured, tested and shipped two out of four 38 MW turbines, intended to produce electric energy as parts of the combined cycle gas turbine units at the Pregolya TPP.
The equipment delivery contract was concluded with the Kaliningrad Generation LLC on February 20, 2016.
The first turbine arrived at its destination in August, and the second one will arrive during September. Work on other machines continues: the third turbine is being assembled right now, and all principal components for the fourth one have already been manufactured.
The equipment is being delivered within the framework of the construction of a CCGT power plant near Kaliningrad, consisting of four 110 MW CCGT power units. After all the units have been put into operation, the total capacity of the power plant will amount to 456 MW.
