On the 16th of September, a deaerator of 32 m in length and 5 m in diameter was dispatched from the territory of the Krasny Kotelshchik Boiler-Making Plant (TKZ), to the Taganrog Commercial Seaport, for further transportation to the Vietnamese thermal power plant Long Phu-1. TKZ was producing equipment of such dimensions for the first time in its history.
The deaerator, with a volume of 400 cbm, was developed for the Long Phu-1 TPP 600 MW power unit, and was designed according to a basic design developed by the Stork company. The deaerator without a deaeration column, is the first one in the history of Krasny Kotelshchik. Such a design feature enables a considerable reduction of the costs of the equipment’s installation, and putting it into operation.
This is also the first time when equipment was shipped fully assembled; earlier the enterprise manufactured smaller deaerators, which were delivered only in a disassembled state.
An ocean-going vessel will take the deaerator from the port of Taganrog, to the Ho Chi Minh port in Vietnam and then, to the Long Phu-1 TPP. The length of the sea voyage will amount to 5841.06 nautical miles (10817.64 km). The time spent in transit will be fifty days.
